The short of it:
Hello! Thanks so much for visiting my photography page. I grew up in Louisville, KY (where I was known as Leslie McClure) and currently reside in Nashville, TN with my husband Javier Rodríguez. Javier and I work as a team to provide the best photography service available with the most flexible prices and packages. As you might have guessed, I'm the primary photographer, but we often work together to capture events from as many angles as possible. Besides occassionally manning the camera, Javier is the business guru who does alot of work behind the scenes.
As a photographer, I like taking pictures that are reminiscent of healthy living: good food, happy people, funny animals, cute kids, etc. I am available for all kinds of photography assignments worldwide (I love to travel! The long of it:
Photography is one of the many interests I entertain. I recently graduated with a masters degree from the Center of Latin American Studies at Vanderbilt University with an emphasis in Portuguese and am currently enrolled in the Sociology PhD program at Vanderbilt. I love to travel and lived in Spain for 6 months, London for 2 months, Brazil for 2 months, Chile for 2 months and have spent several short stays elsewhere. I speak Spanish and Portuguese and incorporate those languages into my music. My dad and I have played music together since I was a wee lass (see the music section), and he keeps thinking someday I'll replace him with a cooler guitar player so he can sit in the audience, but I haven't found anyone cooler than he is.
I also have a great family that raised me well. I'm an active member in my church - both of my parents are ordained ministers which means I am a double PK. My brother Ian is my favorite person and every time he and his girlfriend Andrea visit us in Nashville from Chicago I know there are going to be plenty of opportunities for hilarious pictures, especially because we love to play board games and drink margaritas more than anything when we are all together.
So, in a nutshell, I'm the wife of a handsome Chilean, I'm a PhD student, and both of these occupations obligate me to travel the world and study languages, making life so much more enjoyable. I have a hilarious, loving family who taught me how to capture beautiful moments in life from several different angles. I sing, write and perform music with my dad in venues all over Nashville, and we've come out with two CDs so far. In the meantime, I have my camera with me wherever I go, just in case anything cool happens.
